This page was established as a resource for players, parents, and coaches involved in the SYA Softball program. Here you can find info on, registration, rules, schedules, and all kinds of skill improving drills. Coaches are encouraged to check out Coaches Corner to get information on coaching/teaching the game of softball and to get tips on maximizing practices. Players and parents should also visit Coaches Corner for skill improvement drills you can do at home We have included a Softball links page on a wide variety of subjects and we hope this information will help you learn more about national, regional, and local softball programs. Fastpitch softball is a fast paced and exciting sport. More and more colleges are establishing varsity softball programs, and there are many opportunities for young women who want to continue playing Fastpitch Softball after high school. This page is a tool for keeping players, parents and coaches informed about what's happening in the SYA Softball program. 2012 SOFTBALL INFORMATION
1. MAY 2nd- Park opens for practice (batting cages also open to all registered girls)
2.Teams are allowed to practice on there scheduled play days. Check the coaches lead sheet for futher information.
3. Season Starts (tentatively) May 30th and lasts for 5/6 weeks
4. Games are played Monday thru Thursday nights
6PM and 7:30PM Time slots
5. Each team gets 2 games per week---with a DBL ELEM. tournament
at the end of the regular season
6. 2011 rules will apply for the 2012 season
